Samuel Torres
President
Contact
Hello! My name is Sam Torres and I am the President of Beta Alpha Psi - Beta Chapter for 2024-2025. I’m pursuing two Bachelor of Science degrees, one in Accounting and the other in Economics. Growing up on Bainbridge Island, WA, I lived on a hobby farm and enjoy being outdoors, riding my motorcycle, fishing in the Puget Sound, and playing paintball.
My favorite thing about BAP is the opportunities and resources we are able to provide for students, supplying the early career development that is missing in classes. Whether it’s at Meet the Firms or volunteering for VITA, I am super excited to continue growing BAP’s outreach within the University of Oregon and empowering students for a prosperous and successful career.
Position Description
The duties of the President include carrying out the policies of the chapter, exercising general supervision over the activities of the chapter, organizing professional and volunteer events, weekly newsletter emails, maintaining Intranet reporting to National Chapter, and presiding at meetings of the chapter. In the absence of any officers, the President is responsible for their roles and may disperse those responsibilities if they feel the need to do so.
